Abstract 고객의 높은 욕구와 제조업의 기술 혁신으로 상품의 라이프사이클이 짧아지고 있다. 이에 신제품을 경쟁기업보다 먼저 출시하고 시장에서 성공시키는 것은 기업이 지속적으로 경쟁우위를 확보하기 위한 필수조건이 되었다. 이와 동시에 신제품 개발과 출시는 기업에게 많은 부담감을 주고 있다. 신제품의 수요 예측은 기존 제품보다 훨씬 어렵고 고객의 만족도에 따라 폭발적인 수요를 창출하기도 하고 철저하게 외면받기도 한다. 게다가 시장에서 성공한 신제품이 기업에게 실질적인 수익 증가를 안겨주기 위해서는 제품 출시 초반에 최대한 많이 판매하여야 한다.

제조업자가 신제품 출시 후 고객 수요에 맞추어 재빠르게 물량을 확보하는 것은 아주 중요한 과제이다. 공급사슬에서의 공급자 관리는 이러한 과제를 해결하기 위한 하나의 대안이다. 이에 따라 최근에는 공급자 관리를 위한 평가 지표에 대한 다양한 연구들이 소개되고 있다. 그러나 공급자에 대한 평가 지표는 그 종류와 용도가 매우 다양하고 시장/제품 환경에 따라 평가하고자 하는 목적과 기준이 다르므로 기업 환경 분석과 함께 연구가 이루어져야 한다.

본 연구에서는 신제품 출시 환경에 맞는 공급자 대응 지수표를 제시하였다. 신제품 출시 환경에서 제조업자-공급자 관계를 규명하였고, 공급자 대응 지수표는 (1) 공급사슬 평가 지표에 기본이 되는 SCOR 모델, (2) 기존 연구를 바탕으로 정리한 평가 지표 (3) 기업에서 사용하고 있는 점수표를 정리/분석한 것을 바탕으로 제시하였다. 본 논문에서 제시한 공급자 대응 지수표는 현재 공급사슬의 물량 대응 능력과 추가 물량 확보 능력을 파악하고 이를 제조업자-공급자로 구성된 공급사슬 모델에 적용하여 공급사슬의 대응능력을 파악할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다. 본 모델은 시간 변화에 따라 (1) 공급자가 납품 가능한 물량과 이에 소요되는 비용을 파악하는 것이 가능하며, (2) 현재 주문 방식에 따라 제조업자가 확보할 수 있는 물량을 파악가능하다. (1)과 (2)를 비교 분석을 통해 제조업자의 향후 구매 의사 결정을 도와줄 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.
