Abstract | This thesis reports the development of Computer-aided Process Planning system for rotational parts and its management. In this thesis, the system ultimately generates process plan stepped hierarchically for rotational parts through another knowledge-base. Knowledge-base and decision-making algorithm are represented by Pascal computer programming language. We have developed process planning system stressed the sequence of process to ensure the quality of parts. This system generates more detailed job sequence & description than developed well-known process planning system. We present actual & efficient process plan through the integration of process planning and scheduling. This system optimizes flow time of part by decreasing the number of machine set-up to the highest degree. |
