| abstract | The scheduling problem in Reconfigurable Manufacturing Cell(RMC) is distinguished from that in traditional flexible flow shop in regard of fixture and pallet constraints. This problem is NP-hard so a heuristic approach is needed and we are concerned with dispatching rules. We defined various RMC scheduling scenarios and proposed dispatching rules corresponding to each scenario. However, performance of dispatching rules is affected by the characteristics of input variables. So we defined indicators of input characteristics for each scenario to evaluate performance of proposed dispatching rules via simulation. |
