abstract | Abstract— Internet of Things is expected to offer promising solution to transform the operation and the role of many existing industrial systems. It is also increasingly seen as an engine of development in many systems and fields. Supply chain performance measurement is one of these systems that might be significantly affected by Internet of Things evolution. In the last few decades, many standards and models have been developed to measure supply chain performance. However, it has been argued that these systems still have some problems, such as being static, short term, lack of holistic approach, and data collection difficulties, etc.[1-3] [1]. To overcome these problems, this research has introduced a new Internet of Things-Enabled model to collect information and communicate things for the sleek of supply chain performance measurement. Supply Chain Operation Reference model and ISA-95 standards have been used to analyze supply chains and identify performance metrics’ data identification queries. The model also can be used to show the promising and essential role of Internet of Things technologies in the next generation performance measurement systems that can be employed to monitor, manage and control the overall supply chain in real-time and in more integrated and cooperated way. |
