abstract 오늘날 기업의 활동은 필연적으로 환경에 대한 막대한 영향을 수반하게 된다. 환경과 환경문제에 대한 인식의 중요성이 강조되고 있는 오늘날, 생산자 책임 재활용 제도나 WEEE와 같은 법적 제도 장치는 기업 활동에서 환경에 대한 책임 요소를 강화시키고 있다. 기업 역시 이러한 제도에 효과적으로 대응하기 위하여 역공급사슬 구축의 필요성을 느끼며, 그것을 추진하고 있는 상황이다. 그러나 아직까지 역공급사슬 전반에 걸친 비용/편익 분석은 미비한 상황이며, 그것을 수행하는데 참조할만한 모델 역시 부재하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 역공급사슬을 운영함에 있어 소요되는 비용을 분석할 수 있는 모델을 제안하였다. 비용에 대한 인식은 단순히 기업 회계 입장에서의 인식에서 벗어나 사회적 비용으로 확장되어 적용된다.
본 연구에서 제안하게 될 비용 평가 모델은 정책 입안자들이 환경과 관련한 각종 규제를 설정할 때 좋은 참고가 될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 개별 기업을 대상으로 비용을 평가하는 것이 아닌, 공급사슬 전체를 대상으로 평가하기 때문에 하나의 공급사슬로 인한 비용 발생 구조를 가시화할 수 있을 것이다. 그에 따라 제조업체를 중심으로 한 규제의 구조를 공급사슬내의 모든 주체들에게 공평하게 부담할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.
비용 분석을 위한 모델을 개발하기 위해, 먼저 그 대상이 되는 활동 프레임워크를 제안하였다. 기존의 프레임워크를 기반으로, 좀 더 정확한 분석을 위해 과거에는 고려되지 않았던 활동을 추가하여 확장된 프레임워크를 개발하였다.
개발된 프레임워크는 활동기준원가회계 방법론과 결합하여 역공급사슬 비용 평가 모델로 확장되어진다. 사회적 비용을 고려하기 위해 환경 비용에 대한 고려가 선행되어지며, 산업 생태학 분야의 연구를 참조하여 비용 평가 모델을 개발하였다.
